The Product Heroes - Welcome to Product Land - Become a Beta Reader

Hey,

I'm thrilled to welcome you to the first issue of our newsletter series, where we'll discuss why you should build a product from scratch.

Whether you're a founder, engineer, aspiring or experienced PM, or just someone curious, this is for you.

The Situation

In one of my sessions with a mentee, we discussed how they could improve their CV to find a job as a product manager.

There is great content available, and people providing value all around social media on how to find a job.

However, they discuss about the process of finding a job, not how to be a better match.

And this is a challenge I wanted to solve.

The Challenge

When I built my first product from scratch, I remember the overwhelming mix of excitement and confusion as I navigated this new world. I made mistakes, learnt lessons, and discovered a passion to mentor others on this journey.

However, to reach that point, I needed to be at the right place at the right time and with the right people.

I also learnt that you needed your reasons to build a product. More importantly, the timing had to be right.

Whatever product we are building, we need to have a reason why we want to do it. We need to understand what's in it for us.

And this is why I want to bring people to ProductLand

The Solution

I started to write a Handbook on building a product from A to Z.

My goal is to provide a solution to people who don't know where to start or are looking for a simple answer without going through pricey training.

Now, there is something unusual.

I am using a tool to let you highlight, recommend, ask questions, and give me feedback based on your reading.

This handbook is for you, so I want to treat it like a product. I want to improve it based on your needs.

As I review the comments, I will add more content, visuals and YouTube videos to explain other concepts.

What's coming next?

Next week, I will tackle the bone and foundation of every idea: Defining a problem and identifying an idea.

Welcome to this new journey where we build this handbook together.

You can access the handbook here:
